An endless passion for cooking photography and food styling that turns into a full-time job. Leigh’s main mission? Serving up visual content that effectively tells a story, including Veroni’s.
Tell us your story with three adjectives that represent you.
Three adjectives that describe me — Clever. Creative. Trustworthy.
How did your passion for social media and content creation come about and how has it evolved over time?
I started posting on Instagram the meals I cooked at home back in 2016. I loved learning how to style and photograph my dishes, so I bought a camera and got to work! I taught myself how to style food creatively for the camera, how to manipulate light best for photography, and how to shoot video that effectively tells a story. I’ve made a full-time career out of food photography and have well-known clients from all over the world, including Veroni.
Would you tell us a curious or funny story-time about your journey? Or, if you prefer, an event that helped you grow professionally?
As for growing professionally, joining a mastermind with other like-minded food photographers is one of the best things I’ve ever done for my business. Also, having a can-do attitude and staying curious have never steered me wrong. If I’m not sure how to do something, I will figure it out!
When you think of Veroni’s cured meats, what comes to your mind?
High quality, artisan, and incredible flavor. Truly the best cured meats I’ve ever had.
What is your favorite Veroni cured meat? We’re curious to know why you like it so much!
Veroni’s Prosciutto Italiano is genuinely the BEST I’ve ever had! I’m already a Prosciutto fan, but Veroni’s flavor and fresh quality are unmatched.
What kind of dishes do you like making with your favorite cold cut by Veroni? Would you like to give us a little recipe or a few tips on how to make it? If you’re not a pro chef, how and when do you like to eat it?
I love enjoying Prosciutto Italiano as is with a slice of baguette and mozzarella. One of my favorite meals in the world is Carbonara, and Veroni’s pancetta is the ultimate addition for the best flavor. Guanciale (pork cheek) is very difficult to find in the States, but Veroni’s pancetta is an amazing substitute!
