Give your breakfast a touch of originality and start the day with more determination: Veroni waffles with eggs and Italian prosciutto raw ham will surprise you!

Ingredients for 4 people:

for the waffles:

9.2 oz of 00 flour

7 fl oz of whole plain yogurt

4.2 oz of melted butter

3 eggs

½ teaspoon of cake yeast

½ teaspoon of baking soda

1 pinch of salt



4 eggs

3.5 oz of prosciutto

fresh arugula

4 teaspoons of mustard


Crack the eggs in a bowl with the yogurt, butter and whisk to mix. In a second bowl, sift the flour with the yeast, baking soda and add salt. Pour the mix over the liquid mix and blendwith a mixer until the batter is smooth and free of lumps. Let it rest for 15 minutes.

Heat the waffle iron and brush it with a little melted butter. When it’s hot, pour the mixture in a small ladle oso that it is completely covered. Close the griddle and cook for 7-8 minutes or until it is golden brown.

For the eggs: in a non-stick frying pan pour a tablespoon of oil and let it heat to very hot. When it begins to sizzle, shell the egg, sliding it from a small bowl, and cook  for 5 minutes. Repeat the same procedurer with the remaining eggs.

Lay the eggs on the waffles, season with salt and pepper. Serve them with  prosciutto, rocket and a little bit of mustard.
