Holidays can get hectic, but your gatherings don’t have to be. Picture this: Veroni’s authentic Italian charcuterie paired with a winter-inspired sangria, the icon Spanish drink very popular in Italy!
Veroni Italian Charcuterie
Let’s kick off with the star of the show – Veroni’s Italian charcuterie. Imagine prosciutto, salami, and other cured meats creating a taste journey from salty to savory with a hint of sweet. Arrange the assortment of quality meats, cheeses, and more on a nice board because we know presentation matters as much as taste.
The Best Winter Sangria
Now, onto the pairing – my winter sangria.
Start with a fruity and dry red wine and add in a mix of winter flavors: apple, pear, orange, blackberry, cinnamon, rosemary, and more! All flavors that go so well with Veroni’s meat & cheese trays. Dice up crisp apples, juicy pears, and tart blackberries before squeezing in some fresh orange citrus for some added zing. And the game- changer? A hint of cinnamon and rosemary for that fresh winter aroma.
Strengthen the sangria with cognac and orange liqueur, adding a touch of sweetness. I’m not a fan of adding any syrup to my sangrias, but for a little added effervescence and sweetness, we’ll be topping this beverage with a crisp sparkling apple cider.
Elevate your winter gatherings with this winning combo of Italian charcuterie and winter sangria. It’s not just food; it’s a gourmet experience!
Find joy in the simple pleasures of good company and delicious flavors. Cheers!
